Merchant verification procedures help ensure that businesses operating on the platform are legitimate and accountable.

Aulax provides digital infrastructure enabling merchants to present goods or services to users.

Aulax does not operate merchant businesses and does not act as the seller of goods or services offered through the platform.

Merchants remain independent businesses responsible for their operations and regulatory compliance.

To register for a merchant account, applicants must:

• operate a legitimate business or authorised commercial activity
• provide accurate business information
• comply with applicable laws and licensing requirements.

Aulax may refuse onboarding where information provided is incomplete, inaccurate, or raises safety or regulatory concerns.

As part of onboarding, merchants may be required to provide verification information including:

• legal business name
• business registration details (where applicable)
• registered business address
• contact information
• identity verification for authorised representatives.

Verification may be performed using automated systems, third-party verification services, or manual review processes.

Where required, merchants may be asked to provide supporting documentation such as:

• business registration certificates
• tax registration information
• relevant licences or permits
• proof of address.

The documentation required may vary depending on the merchant’s location, business category, and regulatory requirements.

Merchant profiles may be created through:

• direct merchant registration
• merchant onboarding through platform tools
• automated discovery or publicly available information.

Where a merchant profile has been generated prior to registration, merchants may claim, verify, and manage the profile upon onboarding.

Once access is granted, merchants are responsible for reviewing and correcting any information associated with their profile.

During onboarding, merchants must configure their listings in accordance with the Aulax Merchant Listing & Product Policy.

Merchants must ensure that product information, pricing, and regulatory disclosures are accurate before offering goods or services through the platform.

Merchants must connect an approved payment processing account where digital payments are enabled.

Payment processing services may be provided by authorised third-party payment service providers.

Merchants remain responsible for maintaining accurate payout information.

By completing onboarding, merchants agree to comply with:

• Merchant Services Agreement
• Terms of Use
• Merchant Listing & Product Policy
• Acceptable Use Policy
• Trust & Safety Policy.

Failure to comply with these policies may result in enforcement actions.

Aulax may conduct risk assessments during onboarding and throughout the merchant relationship.

Monitoring activities may include:

• transaction pattern analysis
• fraud detection signals
• account behaviour monitoring.

These measures help maintain platform safety and integrity.

Aulax may refuse, suspend, or terminate merchant onboarding where:

• identity verification fails
• documentation is incomplete or inaccurate
• fraudulent activity is suspected
• regulatory risks are identified.

Aulax is not required to disclose detailed reasons for onboarding decisions.

Once onboarded, merchants must:

• maintain accurate business and listing information
• comply with applicable laws and regulations
• ensure safe and lawful sale of goods and services
• update licensing or regulatory information where required.

Information collected during merchant verification and onboarding is processed in accordance with:

• UK GDPR
• Data Protection Act 2018
• Privacy Policy.

Merchant verification data is used solely for legitimate operational, compliance, and security purposes.

Aulax may update merchant verification procedures to reflect:

• regulatory changes
• fraud prevention improvements
• platform safety requirements.

Merchants are responsible for complying with updated procedures where applicable.
